About Scipio Photography

Hello, thank you for visiting my website - my name is Vicky Scipio and I am a photographer based in Somerset. I have had a strong passion for photography since I was a child, after I was lucky enough to be gifted a camera from my parents. I carried it around with me everywhere. It became a part of me and sparked a life-long passion for photography and capturing the perfect moment. 

 

I followed my passion through school studying GCSE and A-Level photography and going on to get my photography degree. From there, I worked as a full time press photographer working for three newspapers; Swindon Advertiser, Gazette & Herald and Wiltshire Times. This was my career for many years, and after being made redundant, I continued as a freelance photographer. 

Throughout this job, I have learned to be understanding, a good listener, an observer, to have patience, discipline and how to photograph all different kinds of subject matter.

Years later I am a multi-passionate freelance photographer, following my purpose and joy. I have chosen to keep the subjects I photograph wide and varied as I love photographing everything! As such, I can cover pretty much anything; portraits, events, sport, music, business, documentary and pets. I love meeting and working with new people, having fun and being creative together. I have a natural affinity with animals and am very detail-orientated, hardworking and enthusiastic.
